JVA Junior Club Service Award

The growth of our sport, along with the consistent success of the JVA would not exist without the dedication and loyalty of the coaches, club directors and administrators of JVA member clubs. The Junior Club Service Award acknowledges these individuals who have served junior volleyball for at least 20 years.  As an organization committed to the growth and development of junior volleyball, we value the commitment and achievement of our JVA coaches and club directors.

Any active junior volleyball coach, administrator or Club Director who is a part of a JVA member club. The nominee needs to have served junior volleyball as a coach, administrator or club director for at least 20 years.  There is no limit or requirement on the number of clubs the nominee has been affiliated with.

Nomination Period
Nominations will be accepted November 1-30, 2019. Any individual 18 or older who is affiliated with a JVA member club can nominate.

Selection Process
All those who are nominated and meet the eligibility requirements will be awarded.

Honorees will be presented with a JVA honor of achievement and certificate at the JVA Annual Shindig at the AVCA Annual Convention.

Notable Accomplishments: Club Director/Coach of OFVA- all teams finished in Gold or Silver of OVR Championships. Maverick-Qualified for Junior Championships in Salt Lake City 16's. Southwest/Maverick-all teams coached finished in Gold of OVR Championships (8 years). OHSAA State Qualifier HS Level 2000 (Ohio). OHSAA State Championship 2008 (Ohio).

Notable Accomplishments: Downers Grove South HS - National Volleyball Coach of the Year in 1999, Coached three State Championship Titles in 1996, 1999 and 2002. Sports Performance Volleyball Club 1990-1993. Founder/Owner of Club Elite Volleyball (Nationally Recognized), 1994-2010. Co-owner 1st Alliance Volleyball Club 2004-2016. Sport Performance Volleyball and District Volleyball Academy Mentor/coach 2016-17. Coached multiple nationally ranked club teams in career. Coached hundreds of athletes who continued collegiate and professional volleyball careers. Coach/ mentor to multiple athletes who have played and are currently coaching in college and club.

Tom Boyle

Notable Accomplishments: Tom is a native of the Marietta area and has lived in and around the area for most of his life.  He started playing volleyball in 1987 and continues to play now and again when time and his knees allow.  He got into coaching when he got into teaching in 1996.  After five years of being an assistant coach at Sprayberry High School, he left teaching but continued coaching by volunteering as a community coach at Kell High School. Since 2010, he has coached different levels and age groups at CAJ.

Joe Aldridge

Notable Accomplishments: Joe is a USAV certified Volleyball Official.  He started refereeing in 1992 and during the years of 1994-1998 served as a D1 colligate official in the Conference USA.  Joe played as both an Outside hitter and Middle Blocker.  His men's team won the SRVA men's championship in 1995 and they played in the U.S. Open Volleyball championships that same year.

Notable Accomplishments: Cary was an assistant Coach at Lindenwood University for 3 trips to the Women's NAIA National Tournament and 4 trips to the Men's NAIA National Tournament, including the 2009 Men's NAIA National Championship team. He was also on the coaching staff for the 2014 Patriot Division Champions 15 Gold Team, the Genesis Volleyball Club 15 Open Boys Silver Medalist in 2001, and the Missouri Thunder 17 Open Bronze Medalist in 2007. He has also been inducted into the Lindenwood University Hall of Fame.

Sheree Harvey

Notable Accomplishments: A long history of competing, coaching and club directing. She played at The Ohio State University and coached in 25 USA National Championships. Coached at the highest levels in the United States for more than 40 years and helped place many athletes at Division 1 level as well as D2, D3 and NAIA. She has been involved in High Performance both as an evaluator and a coach. She has been a director many years taking care of anything from scheduling, assisting coaches to parent involvement. More recent coaching accolades in the last 8 years include: USA Nationals Open 3rd place twice, USA Nationals Open 2nd place twice. AAU Nationals Open 2nd place twice.
